Introducing my new intern: Helen White!

I wanted to introduce you all to my talented intern, Helen White. Helen is a Senior at Bowdoin and I am sure we will see amazing things from her! Below is a little bit about her:

Hello Everyone!

My name is Helen White and I’m a current senior at Bowdoin College. I couldn’t be more excited to be interning for Representative Daughtry this semester! I’m originally from Derby, VT, a town of about 4,000 people about a mile from the Canadian Border.

Since getting to Bowdoin in 2009, I’ve been an active member of the Women’s Rugby Team and a DJ on WBOR. During the past two summers, I’ve stayed in Brunswick to conduct physics research, which I’ll be wrapping up this semester in an honors thesis. Although I’ll graduate this spring with a degree in physics, my real passions are government and law. I’m planning to work for a year or two before going to law school. I’m currently thinking of a career in litigation, but I have always harbored an interest in politics and lawmaking, particularly education policy. Who knows where I’ll end up, but I’m hoping the things I learn this semester interning will help guide the way! In particular, I’m excited to learn more about the details of state politics and lawmaking, especially those concerning education.
