Office Hours and Expanding Health Care Access

Office Hours and Expanding Health Care Access

As always, I’d love to hear from you. If you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding your state government please let me know. I’ll be holding my regular “Office Hours,” if you’d like to speak with me:

Saturday, June 15 at Wild Oats Bakery & Cafe, in Brunswick, from 10:00AM till 12:00PM.

If you’re unable to attend please feel free to email me at or call me at 207-370-9871 with any questions you may have.

Accepting Federal Health Care Dollars

Accepting federal health care dollars to cover uninsured Maine people would be a smart move for our state.

By accepting federal funds set aside for Maine under the Affordable Care Act, more working Mainers would have the security of knowing they can get the care they need, when they need it. Accepting these funds represents a unique opportunity to cover approximately 70,000 uninsured Mainers and save millions of dollars.

Even with the governor vetoing the bill to accept federal health care dollars and pay back our hospitals, the idea of covering hard-working, uninsured Mainers is still alive. The Legislature will hear a bill to expand Medicaid, separate from paying back the hospitals, next week.

Please contact the governor’s office and encourage him to make health care available to nearly 70,000 uninsured Mainers!

You can call the governor’s office by dialing 207-287-3531 or send an email by clicking HERE.

Please contact me with any questions, comments or concerns you have in regards to your state government. I can be reached by email at
